The Smarty® 3-in-1 Cargo Pant is the most versatile option in the 686 lineup – thanks to its removable fleece liner you can wear it in three ways: shell only, shell + fleece, or fleece only. One pair of pants, three options, maximum functionality.

SMARTY® 3-IN-1 SYSTEM
The original patented 686 3-in-1 system combining a technical shell with a removable, standalone liner. Each SMARTY® set is engineered so both layers work in perfect harmony, delivering maximum versatility and functionality. You can wear the pants in three ways:
- Shell + liner — maximum warmth for the coldest days.
- Shell only — ideal for moderate conditions.
- Liner jogger only — for everyday use off the mountain.
infiDRY® 20K MEMBRANE
infiDRY® is an advanced waterproof and breathable 686 membrane designed to provide full protection in harsh winter conditions. The 20K version offers 20,000 mm waterproofing and 20,000 g/m² breathability, keeping you dry and comfortable all day. The material withstands multiple washes with technical detergents such as Nikwax Tech Wash.
PFAS Free DWR
Eco-friendly water-repellent treatment free from fluorinated chemicals. The coating effectively repels water and snow without compromising breathability or durability.
TAPED SEAMS
Special attention is given to seam construction in 686 pants. Fully taped Bemis® seams prevent water from penetrating the fabric joints, making the garment completely waterproof even in extreme conditions.
AIR-FLO™ VENTS
Strategically placed Air-Flo™ zip vents release excess heat and moisture for increased comfort during high-intensity riding. The internal mesh prevents snow from entering.
