This causes the fiberglass structure underneath to show through the top sheet. And since no one wants to spend their hard-earned money on a bumpy snowboard, many companies additionally coat their boards with a thick, toxic lacquer to level the surface. Not only is it HEAVY and can lead to unsightly cracks, but it’s also very unhealthy for the working environment. The PLT™ machine produces feather-light, smooth, glossy finishes without all that toxic ballast, resulting in a stunningly layered laminate structure. The combination of matte with glossy elements and gold lettering makes an amazing impression.
