The Atomic Redster X5 skis are another model from the Redster X line, offering a compromise between a slalom ski and a giant slalom ski. It is the entry-level model of the REDSTER X series, but this doesn't mean it lacks advanced technologies. As the name suggests, the Atomic Redster X5 skis are based on the sporty Redster technology. At the same time, they have been given the characteristics and appearance of all-mountain skis, with reduced transverse stiffness, making the X5 suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers honing their carving technique.

The latest offering from Atomic perfectly meets the expectations of demanding skiers looking for a ski for everyday use on the slopes, while also having a sporty character.

TECHNOLOGIES IN ATOMIC REDSTER X5 SKIS

• WOOD CORE CONSTRUCTION - POWER WOODCORE: Atomic has used key technologies necessary for high-performance skis in the construction of the X5. The unique vertically laminated wooden core, Power Woodcore, is made of two types of wood: hard ash and lightweight poplar. This creates a very stiff combination, ensuring durability, stability at high speeds, and a sporty character.
• TITANIUM STABILIZER: The unique core construction is further supported by a Titanium Stabilizer to achieve maximum stabilization. A single layer of the titanium strip placed under the wooden core ensures optimal transverse flex, excellent vibration absorption, and stability, similar to what can be found in high-end sports models. The interior of the Atomic Redster X5 ski stands out for its excellent weight-to-strength ratio.
• FULL SIDEWALL: The sporty character of the X5 is also influenced by the Full Sidewall, which consists of fully hardened sidewalls along the entire edge, guaranteeing precise turns and maneuverability at high speeds.
• ACTIVE CAMBER SKI PROFILE: For the 2020 Redster collection, Atomic completely eliminated the Rocker profile, positioning these skis among the purely sporty models. The new Active Camber profile, with 100% Camber throughout the ski, ensures excellent edge grip even on icy slopes, providing dynamic rebound and acceleration when exiting turns. The Camber profile gives an incredibly stable skiing experience.
• Edge sharpening angles: The Atomic Redster X5 skis come with factory-sharpened steel edges. The base edge angle of 0.8° slightly lifts the edge off the snow, making turning easier while maintaining excellent edge grip and aggressive control during turns. The side edge angle is 87°, which makes skiing more intuitive and easier, with better grip on hard snow and ice.

ATOMIC M10 SKI BINDINGS with GRIP WALK

The skis are paired with Atomic M10 bindings, which offer DIN settings from 3 to 10. The bindings feature manual, tool-free adjustment, allowing for a boot sole length range of 257 to 380 mm. These bindings are compatible with any ski boots that have GRIP WALK soles, as well as standard alpine boot soles.

The latest standard binding with GRIP WALK technology, compatible with all boots with GRIP WALK soles and standard downhill soles.

Ski length selection for ATOMIC REDSTER X5

We recommend selecting ski length based on the height of the skier, choosing a ski that reaches the chin/mouth level (subtract 15 cm from the skier's height). For more experienced skiers, skis reaching the nose (subtract about 10 cm from the skier's height) are suggested.
